In groups of only 8 guests accompanied by experienced and qualified local guide, we visit Sólheimajökull outlet glacier on foot. On this 1-1.5 hour walk, you will see and hear about all the glacial features, enjoy the most stunning scenery and hear interesting facts about the Icelandic history and formation.

Experienced and certified guides
Meet your guide at Sólheimajökull parking lot and be introduced to the equipment needed for the tour. Once Boots, rainwear, crampons, Ice ax, helmet, and the harness has been fitted, you will walk with your small group escorted by a local certified guide towards the Glacier (about 15-20minutes). Once in front of the glacier, your guide will show you and help to put crampons on your boots and introduce in more detail the appropriate usage of the equipment as well as safety on the glacier. After the fun and interesting hike, you'll find your self in front of the glacier again taking crampons off and walking back to the parking lot, where the team splits and everyone continues on their Iceland adventure.
